The FTSE 100 Index is a well known and widely used share index tracking the price movements of the 100 largest UK companies by market capitalisation listed on the London Stock Exchange. It comprises stocks from various sectors, mitigating your exposure to any one sector or stock. The performance of the FTSE 100 Index can be easily tracked via www.ft.com.
